Les batteries sans entretien typiques sont enti\u00e8rement \u00e9tanches \u00e0 l&#8217;exception de deux petits orifices d&#8217;\u00e9vent sur le c\u00f4t\u00e9. Les orifices d&#8217;\u00e9vent permettent aux gaz produits par la batterie de s&#8217;\u00e9chapper.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Pour les applications dot\u00e9es d&#8217;un seul tube d&#8217;\u00e9vent, l&#8217;ouverture d&#8217;\u00e9vent oppos\u00e9e sur le couvercle de batterie doit \u00eatre obtur\u00e9e avec un bouchon d&#8217;\u00e9vent.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Les batteries qui doivent \u00eatre ventil\u00e9es comprennent un bouchon d&#8217;\u00e9vent amovible, qui peut \u00eatre ins\u00e9r\u00e9 dans l&#8217;orifice d&#8217;\u00e9vent oppos\u00e9 au flexible d&#8217;\u00e9vent qui m\u00e8ne \u00e0 l&#8217;ext\u00e9rieur du v\u00e9hicule. Presser le bouchon d&#8217;\u00e9vent dans la batterie pour s&#8217;assurer qu&#8217;il est bien ins\u00e9rer dans l&#8217;orifice d&#8217;\u00e9vent (fig. 17).
