Il d\u00e9tecte la variation d&#8217;intensit\u00e9 du champ magn\u00e9tique provoqu\u00e9e par la bague de r\u00e9luctance. La bague de d\u00e9tection de position de l&#8217;arbre \u00e0 cames, mont\u00e9e sur l&#8217;arbre \u00e0 cames, comporte quatre dents sur son bord. Lorsque l&#8217;intensit\u00e9 varie, le capteur modifie la quantit\u00e9 de courant qu&#8217;il consomme. Il en r\u00e9sulte un signal \u00e0 onde carr\u00e9e de courant et de tension. Le module de commande d\u00e9tecte la fr\u00e9quence \u00e0 laquelle le signal varie, qui est proportionnelle \u00e0 la vitesse de rotation.<\/p>\n<p>Pour faciliter le diagnostic, il est possible d&#8217;utiliser le PicoScope pour \u00e9valuer les capteurs de position de l&#8217;arbre \u00e0 cames. Le centre d&#8217;assistance technique (TAC) de GM a constat\u00e9 une augmentation des remplacements de capteurs, de circuits et de module de commande du moteur (ECM) en raison des codes d&#8217;anomalie (DTC) P0340\/341 et P0011\/0016, sans que l&#8217;on ait v\u00e9rifi\u00e9 la courbe d&#8217;oscilloscope de la bague d&#8217;interruption de l&#8217;actionneur.
